Nutrient Analysis and Ingredient Statements

A nutrient analysis is the first step towards discovering the nutritional properties and strengths of your food product and must be completed in order to create a Nutrition Facts panel.

Every nutrition analysis includes the following information:

  • Calories
  • Calories from fat
  • Total fat
  • Saturated fat
  • Trans fat
  • Cholesterol
  • Sodium
  • Total carbohydrates
  • Dietary fiber
  • Sugars
  • Protein
  • Vitamin A
  • Vitamin C
  • Calcium
  • Iron

Additional nutrients may be identified by request.

A recipe analysis is completed using data from food suppliers, the U.S.D.A. and Genesis R&D SQL nutrition analysis program from ESHA Research. Our FDA approved software is internationally recognized as the most accurate, most complete nutrition analysis system. Our comprehensive database of more than 25,000 foods is meticulously researched to give you the most exact computerized nutrition analysis available. We continually add new foods to our database and can include any specialty products your company offers.

For food products that cannot be analyzed using the above methods, a laboratory analysis can be run.

Ingredient Statements

All ingredients used to fabricate a food must be listed in the ingredient statement by their common or usual name unless they are coved by an exemption. On The Menu can complete your ingredient statement to assure your food product meets FDA regulations.
