Answer Diners’ Nutrition Questions–Quickly, Accurately, and Politely

Delivering accurate, customer-friendly answers to your diners’ nutrition questions is a must for restaurants to succeed. However, keeping up with the onslaught of questions and ensuring your staff is up-to-date on the constantly evolving nutrition information is always challenging and sometimes even frustrating.

Now you can get the help you need with On The Menu dietitians, who provide ongoing nutrition support to restaurants, both large and small, and expertly field diners’ questions such as:

  • Is your potato cheese soup vegetarian?
  • Why aren’t your chips and salsa on your gluten-free menu?
  • Do you fry your foods in soy oil? If so, does it contain soy protein?
  • If I leave the cheese and sauce off your BBQ Bacon & Swiss Burger, how many calories would it be?
  • Potatoes are usually high in fiber, but your potato skins are only showing 2 gram of fiber per serving. Is that right?

To get started, On The Menu will conduct a nutrition and/or allergen analysis of your menu items. However, if your company has already performed a nutrition analysis, we will review your current nutrition information for its accuracy and use the data already collected.

We then set up a unique email address where your customers can send their nutrition questions, comments, or concerns, which our registered dietitians will address promptly, politely, and accurately. Before crafting a clear, concise response, our dietitians research and gather the necessary information. All you need to do is highlight the email address on your restaurant’s website, menu, or wherever is convenient for you and visible to your customers. If you prefer, you can chose to see the customer emails and preview our responses for approval and to share with your staff.

On The Menu will provide the same excellent service you’ve come to expect and delight your customers with prompt, clear answers to their nutrition questions. Your customers’ emails will be answered Monday through Friday within 24 hours of receipt. Plus, we bill hourly based on the actual amount of time it took us to answer to your customers’ emails, instead of charging a hefty monthly service fee.
